LLS heroes letters

Green Hope Interact is teaming up with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in order to help support cancer research. Our two honored heroes, Ady and Edward, deserve some recognition so from now until Friday, January 12th, we will be writing letters to them to let them know just how important, courageous, and valuable they are.
One letter to either Ady or Edward will grant you a half hour of volunteering. You must sign the letter with "The Great CURE" to let them know our team is supporting them. Date: Now until January 12th Location: Mod 2 Room 3 is where you deliver the letters Time: Anytime during school is fine Task: Writing letters of encouragement to two wonderful individuals |

lls awareness raising

In addition to the letters we are sending to Ady and Edward, we have also printed out several letters asking for donations and raising awareness for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Date: January 8th - January 12th Location: Mod 2 Room 3 Time: Both halves of lunch (10:28 PM - 11:15 PM) Task: Sign the addresses of four friends onto letters to be sent to them to raise awareness. For every four friends you send letters to, you will receive a half hour of volunteering. No writing is required for this task, you simply need to sign your name and the address of your friends, family, or colleagues. |

December 16, 2017:
Green Hope Interact teams up with local Rotary Clubs in order to clean up litter across a mile long stretch of highway. The Adopt-A-Highway (Festive Edition) allowed Interact members to help the environment and spread holiday cheer along the way. |

MOrrisville meals hope project

November 18, 2017:
Four Interactors took action to help package food for the hungry with the Morrisville Meals Hope project. Together with the other Rotary clubs in the district, our club helped to package 80,000 meals for the less fortunate as the holiday season arrives. |
Tree Planting success!!!!

Thank you to everybody who came to help plant our tree! This project was in part to support the "Pledge to Plant" campaign by the president to Rotary International. Rotary clubs around the world are challenged to plant a tree and Green Hope Rotary Interact was proud to support this effort. The tree is named Leslie and she will be a symbol of Rotary Interact at Green Hope for years to come. |

Significant rotary events
Ryla (rotary Youth leadership Awards)Every year, two lucky Juniors sent to the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) and get to experience a weekend full of fun activities and learning about how to become a more effective leader.

Rotary Scholarship
Every year, one lucky Senior gets awarded with a scholarship for their contribution to Rotary.

adopt-a-highway
Every year the Rotary Interact club members, all ages, get to volunteer at Adopt-a-Highway to clean up the roads and make the area a better place.

Zimbabwe eye project
In the 2015 - 2016 school year, the Rotary Interact club collected eye glasses to donate to the Rotary International Zimbabwe eye project. We helped give the Zimbabweans improve and even gain their sight back. The Morrisville Rotary Club partnered with the Victoria Falls Rotary Club to bring eyeglasses to the impoverished nation. With the help of Rotary Representative, Keith Holshausen, we prevent many people from having their eyesight taken away.
